This lecture will explore the concept of statehood, examining the formation and historical stages of Uzbek statehood, the era of the Great Timurids, and the causes and consequences of the division of Central Asia into khanates. Furthermore, it will analyze the period of the Russian Empire's colonial rule in Turkestan and the historical significance of national liberation movements. Attending this open lecture will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the historical development and pivotal milestones of statehood in Uzbekistan.
