Admissions
You can apply online through our admissions portal. Select your programme (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD), fill in the application form, and upload the required documents. After document review, you will be invited to take the entrance exam. Our admissions team will contact you within 5–10 business days.
For Bachelor's programmes: a secondary school diploma (attestat) and successful completion of the entrance exam. For Master's: a Bachelor's degree and entrance exam. All applicants must demonstrate English proficiency (IELTS 5.5+ for Bachelor's, IELTS 6.0+ for Master's) or pass TIU's internal English test.
You will need: a copy of your passport or national ID, your diploma/attestat with transcript, an English language certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, or TIU internal test result), a motivation letter, 2 passport-sized photos, and a medical certificate for international students. Some Master's programmes also require a CV and recommendation letters.
Yes. Admission to all programmes is based on entrance exam results. Exam subjects are determined according to your chosen programme. If you don't have an IELTS/TOEFL score, you can also take TIU's internal English placement test.
The main application deadline for Fall 2026 intake is 15 July 2026 for Bachelor's programmes and 1 August 2026 for Master's. International applicants have an earlier deadline of 1 June 2026. We recommend applying early as popular programmes may fill up.
Yes. Transfer students are welcome. You will need to provide your current transcript for credit evaluation. The number of transferable credits depends on programme compatibility. Contact the Admissions Office at admissions@tiu.uz for individual assessment.
There are no strict age limits. Bachelor's programmes are typically for school leavers aged 17+, but mature students are welcome. Master's and PhD programmes are open to applicants of all ages who meet the entry requirements.
Yes. TIU welcomes international students from all countries. The application process is the same, with an earlier deadline to allow time for visa processing. Our International Relations Department provides full support with visas, accommodation, and orientation.
Programmes & Study
TIU offers Bachelor's (4 years), Master's (2 years), and PhD programmes across five departments: Business & Economics, IT, Education, Foreign Languages & Literature, and Jurisprudence. We also offer a 2+2 dual degree programme with international partner universities.
All programmes at TIU are taught entirely in English by international faculty. You do not need to know Uzbek or Russian to study at TIU, though learning the local language is encouraged.
The academic year consists of two semesters. The fall semester runs from September to January, and the spring semester from February to May. The summer period (June–August) includes final exams, graduation ceremonies, and a break before the new academic year.
TIU uses a GPA-based grading system on a 4.0 scale, alongside the traditional 5-point scale used in Uzbekistan (5 = excellent, 4 = good, 3 = satisfactory). Your transcript will show both formats for international compatibility.
Programme transfers within TIU are possible during the first year, subject to availability and approval from the Academic Office. Speak with your academic advisor to discuss your options.
Yes. TIU is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education of Uzbekistan. Our degrees are recognized nationally and internationally. The 2+2 dual degree programme additionally grants a diploma from the partner university abroad.
Tuition & Grants
Tuition (kontrakt) starts from 25,000,000 UZS per year and varies by programme and study format. Full details are available on our Tuition & Fees page. There are no hidden fees — the published rate covers all standard academic costs.
Yes. TIU offers grants covering up to 100% of tuition based on entrance exam results and academic performance. Grants are awarded automatically during the admissions process — no separate application is needed for most grants.
Yes. TIU offers flexible payment options. Tuition can be paid per academic year or per semester. Contact the Finance Office for instalment plan details and deadlines.
Grants are renewed annually provided you maintain the required GPA (typically 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale) and remain in good academic standing. Renewal conditions are specified in your grant letter.
Tuition covers all standard academic costs. Students should budget separately for accommodation, textbooks, personal expenses, and optional activities. TIU provides access to digital learning resources and the campus library at no extra charge.
International Programs
The 2+2 programme allows Bachelor's students to study two years at TIU and two years at a partner university abroad. Upon completion, you graduate with two diplomas — one from TIU and one from the partner institution. Both are fully recognized.
TIU students can spend one or two semesters at a partner university abroad. Credits earned transfer directly back to your TIU degree. You continue paying TIU tuition — partner university fees are waived under our bilateral agreements.
During exchange or 2+2 programmes, tuition at the partner university is covered by our agreements. However, students are responsible for travel, accommodation, and living expenses abroad. The International Relations Department can advise on costs and available support.
Yes. The International Relations Department provides full support — from issuing invitation letters and preparing documents to advising on visa applications and travel logistics.

Campus & Student Life
TIU helps students find comfortable accommodation near campus — either in university-recommended hostels or shared apartments. International students are given priority. Contact the Student Services Office to arrange housing before arrival.
Yes! TIU has 50+ student clubs — from debate and photography to coding and chess. All clubs are student-led and open to everyone. The Student Union also organizes events, festivals, and social activities throughout the year.
Our campus includes a modern gym, a multi-court sports hall, and outdoor pitches. Students can join university teams, take part in inter-university tournaments, or simply stay active between lectures.
Yes. TIU has a medical services point on campus providing first aid, basic consultations, and referrals to local healthcare providers. All students have access to campus medical support during working hours.
TIU is located on Little Ring Road 7 in central Tashkent. The campus is accessible by bus, metro, and taxi. The nearest metro station is a short walk away, and multiple bus routes stop directly outside campus. Parking is also available on site.
Yes. The campus cafeteria serves affordable meals throughout the day, including hot dishes, salads, snacks, and beverages. Vegetarian and dietary options are available.
Graduation & Career
Yes. Our Career Center provides CV workshops, mock interviews, career fairs, employer networking events, and one-to-one counselling. Career support is available from your first year through graduation and beyond.
Yes. TIU partners with companies and organisations in Uzbekistan and internationally to provide internship placements. Many programmes include a mandatory internship component, ensuring you graduate with real-world experience.
