How to get your student visa
A simple process from admission to arrival
Get admitted
Apply to TIU, pass the entrance exams, and receive your official admission letter.
Receive your Letter of Invitation
After you accept your offer and pay the tuition deposit, TIU issues your official Letter of Invitation (LOI) for the visa application.
Apply for your visa
Submit your visa application at the nearest Uzbekistan embassy or consulate with the LOI, passport, photos, medical certificate, and visa fee.
Travel to Tashkent
Once your visa is approved, book your travel. TIU can arrange airport pickup and help you settle into your accommodation.
Register on arrival
Within the required period after arrival, TIU helps you complete local migration registration. Your student visa is renewed annually through the university.

Visa-free entry for many CIS countries
Citizens of several CIS countries can enter Uzbekistan without a visa. You may still need to complete migration registration after arrival. Contact us to check if your country qualifies.

Yes. You can travel during academic breaks. Make sure your student visa and registration remain valid. If you plan to leave and re-enter Uzbekistan, check with the International Relations Department about re-entry requirements.
