On February 12 of this year, at the initiative of Tashkent International University, a preventive meeting and spiritual and educational event was held for students studying in the university's correspondence and distance learning forms on the topic "The role of education and enlightenment in the stability of the socio-spiritual environment in our society in the context of globalization and the fight against ideas alien to our national values".
The event was opened by the rector of Tashkent International University, Dr. Jun Yong Wook, and the director of the university, I.B. Yuldashev, with introductory remarks, noting that the rapid development, achievement and prosperity of each country are, first of all, the result of high attention paid to the education and upbringing of young people and their future.
The event was attended by the Director of the National Center for Drug Control under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan R. Mamatov, Head of the Center's Department Sh. Gulyamov, Professor of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences I. Bekmirzayev, Deputy Head of the Department of Youth Policy and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations Kh. Eshov, who delivered their reports and presentations, emphasizing that the youth issue in Uzbekistan is one of the top priorities of state policy, and that youth education is an important factor in the development of New Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, the topics “Prevention of the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances among young people” and “The stability of the socio-spiritual environment in our society in the context of globalization, the role of education and enlightenment in combating ideas alien to our national and religious values” were widely covered by experts.
At the end of the meeting, the feature film "Three Heroes" was shown, based on a poignant plot and real-life events, shot by order of the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Cinematography Agency.
